Located only 8kms from the CBD in the Adelaide foothills, offering serene views of Penfolds first vineyard and Adelaide city, Magill Estate is one of the world’s few urban single vineyards. It houses Magill Estate Cellar Door, fine dining restaurant Magill Estate Restaurant and relaxed dining and wine bar offering, Magill Estate Kitchen.
Penfolds Magill Cellar Door is open 7 days, 10am-5pm.
Please note that Magill Estate Cellar Door will be closed on Wednesday, 8th April.

THE HISTORY OF PENFOLDS MAGILL ESTATE
Founded in 1844 by Dr. Christopher and Mary Penfold, Magill Estate is a cornerstone of Australian winemaking heritage. Nestled in the Adelaide foothills, the estate began with vines brought from France.
At the heart of the estate lies the historic Grange Cottage, the couple’s original home. The cottage, along with the original stone cellars, stands as a testament to the rich history, pioneering spirit and enduring legacy of Penfolds. Experience the unique blend of tradition and innovation that defines Magill Estate.

WHERE IS MAGILL ESTATE?
Penfolds Magill Estate is located at the foothills of the Adelaide Hills, just 15 minutes from Adelaide’s CBD.
The Adelaide Hills is an internationally revered wine region responsible for contributing to some of Australia’s most prized wines including St Henri, Reserve Bin A Chardonnay, and the Penfolds Cellar Reserve range.
Magill Estate was founded by Dr Christopher and Mary Penfold in 1844. It is one of Australia’s most historic and long-standing wineries and still remains in operation today.
